As the holiday season winds down, the desire for a rejuvenating getaway beckons to me. The thought of booking flights and navigating crowded airports, however, can sometimes outweigh the allure of adventure. Fortunately, we live in the Bay Area, and there's always a charming staycation solution right up north in San Francisco, Sausalito and Sonoma. We took a delightful journey through the city before landing in Sausalito to indulge in serene accommodations, delectable dining, exquisite wine, and rejuvenating relaxation.

What to Take

A staycation in Sausalito requires a balance of comfort and style. For comfort, I was sure to pack essential cozy loungewear for relaxing in the room and walking shoes for exploring the nearby trails. For effortless elegance, I brought with me my favorite everyday, easy-to-wear travel jewels:

For moments of quiet reflection and inspiration, I tucked a copy of "The Creative Act: A Way of Being" into my bag. This insightful book offers profound insight into the creative process, making the perfect companion for moments of contemplation and creativity amidst the serene surroundings of Cavallo Point. With these essentials in tow, you'll be well-prepared to immerse yourself in the tranquility and beauty of your staycation getaway.

Where to Dine: Seven Hills and Valley Bar and Bottle

I'm sure to include my Link Diamond Two-Tone Gold Band when adventuring out, as you'll remember from my personal stacking story. Enjoy a scrumptious bite in Sonoma at neighborhood restaurant Valley Bar and Bottle. The menu reflects our classic California seasonal produce and natural wines.  If Sonoma is a little out of reach, look no further than Seven Hills for a memorable culinary journey. From handmade pasta dishes bursting with flavor to decadent desserts that tantalize the taste buds, each bite is a testament to culinary craftsmanship. With an emphasis on seasonal ingredients and traditional recipes, Seven Hills invites guests to savor the true essence of Italian cuisine in a cozy and inviting setting.
